Library of Congress Announces Spring Literary Season
March 23 - "Poems About Washington, DC" written in the past 60 years will be read from noon-1 p.m. as part of the Poetry at Noon series, Whittall Pavilion, Jefferson Building. Featured poets are Jonetta Rose Barras, Merrill Leffler, Ramola D, Venus Thrash, and Kim Roberts. Free. Tickets are not required.
Bobbitt Prize: The Rebekah Johnson Bobbitt Prize Poetry guidelines for the 2010 competition will be available later this spring. The Bobbitt Prize is for the best book of poetry published in 2008-2009 or for the lifetime achievement of the poet.
